Induction systems are because of the application in close contact with high temperatures, with cooling water and often with dirty, dusty atmosphere. These influences alloy the thermal and electrical isolation. The inductors are particularly critical.

Cooling water systems incline to offsets and to corrosion. Cooling water monitoring equipment can break down thereby. In the consequence it can come to losses of the cooling system with considerable damages.

Material conveyer systems, guide tubes etc. undergo the mechanical wastage.

Costs by down-times and complex repairs can be minimized by punctual recognition of weak points. The operators of induction system technology are advised well, to keep the operating condition of their plants constant under control.

The EMA-TEC GmbH offers cyclic maintenance and inspections for induction systems, for example in the form of annual foresighted inspections with the emphasis:

    • Cooling system
      o examination on sufficient flow rate, pressure tightness, cooling water quality and function of the monitoring equipment
   
    • electrical system
      o examination of high current connections and high current cables
      o examination of the electrical isolation
      o control of the protection component and the annunciator
      o examination of earth connections

    • Control of the plant for mechanical and thermal wastage
    • Control of the general mode of operation of the plant
