For most applications of the induction heating electricity higher frequencies is needed. The correct frequency for the concrete employment is determined by the desired technological effect.
For the frequency production static frequency changers are used, which are attached to the normal three-phase supply system and produce by electronic energy conversion the higher frequency. In former times rotary frequency changers (motor generator of sets) were used.

EMA-TEC GmbH offers static frequency changers in two basic circuits.

1. Parallel resonance circuit converter type: FUP
preferably for inductors with low normal voltage, e.g. for warming-up and applications of hardnesses

2. Serial resonance circui converter type: FUS
preferably for inductors with higher normal voltage, e.g. for melting furnaces

The frequency converters are water-cooled.

They are implemented as separate switchgear cabinet, but can directly into the plant be integrated, e.g. in compact-warmer.

Pay attention to:
  • the electrical operating conditions to the charging energy net
  • the cooling water quality

Achievement sizes: from 10 KW to 500 KW
